I spent the better part of last week at High Point Market, previewing the latest and greatest furnishings from the world’s best furniture manufacturers. If you’re not familiar with High Point, is is a massive gathering of the interior design trade that happens in High Point, North Carolina two times per year. At market, manufacturers debut their newest lines with the hope of enticing designers to source the new products in our current projects. There are over 12 million square feet of showrooms to tour, along with educational sessions, networking events, and more.
As an interior designer, I love attending market to view current trends in design, discover new brands, and network with brand reps and other designers. I spotted 3 trends at High Point Fall 2025:
Dark and Moody is Still IN.
Rich colors and deeply saturated spaces first came back on the scene a handful of years ago, with buzz words like “color-drenching” and “moody interiors” taking Instagram by storm. At this fall market, all of my favorite brands continued to lean into the trend. I saw lots of chocolate brown spaces, charcoal gray walls, and richly saturated furniture with statement lighting to top it off.

Curvy is Beautiful
If it can be curved, it was curved at High Point Market Fall 2025. I saw curved sofas, table legs, consoles, benches, beds, lighting, and just about everything in between. Organic shapes are king, and I saw lots of brands getting creative with where they incorporated curves.
I noticed this trend in Colorado prior to High Point, as several clients expressed an interest in curved furniture this year, so it was interesting to see that this trend seems to have taken hold nationwide. Curved furniture can be amazing in certain applications, but it’s also very specific to the space that it’s in, so if you plan to move in 3-5 years, just keep in mind that those curved pieces may not work in your next home.

Retro Colors are Back
I saw a lot of burnt orange, chocolate brown, teal, eggplant, and chartreuse. While some of it bordered on classic retro decor, for the most part, I noticed the retro color palette being incorporated into spaces that have a very current, modern feel. I also noticed a lot of wallpaper incorporating geometric patterns in these colors. While it may not be for everyone, I love this updated nod to the 60’s and 70’s!
